Thought I'd use my photos today to bring to life my thought process just a bit. So what am I waiting for? Maybe the next letter I get will have the answer.
Thanks guys! This was a good example of what Johannah was talking about in the comments of my post a couple of days ago; I'd been tossing this idea around for a few days but couldn't figure out where in my house to do it. Then the idea of the stairs came to me while putting my daughter to bed (great thinking time). I wouldn't have added the last frame about walking away (which ended up being my favorite part) if not for that idea. I just need to keep on myself and recognize when I'm letting ideas simmer and when I'm "just waiting" for reasons of laziness or lack of confidence.
Putting kids to bed is probably my best thinking time too! After all, what else is there to do in a dark, quiet room? I often resent the length of time it takes to get my kids to bed, but I try to remind myself that its the only time I ever truly just stop and *think*. Love the series and I agree that the last pic makes it.
Love that you are walking UP the stairs at the finish....in dreams the upstairs of a house is often said to represent high consciousness within the dreamer's own mind...
and if that's not where Inspiration lives, then I have no idea where to find it!
I LOVE it! Especially the pic of you ascending the steps leaving the letter behind was a nice touch!
ReplyDeleteThis is a GREAT series! Love it :)
ReplyDeleteUntil you held up the paper, I thought you were waiting for the mail!
ReplyDeleteSo.... what are you waiting for?
