Imaginary friend

Josie spent our time at the park today pushing her imaginary friend (actually, according to her, her imaginary granddaughter) on the swings, who she has named Liper (like her cousin Piper, only different, again according to Josie).

  1. What a shot, and what an imagination!

Was just talking to my daughter tonight about how much I value her imagination, and how I hope that she will always be true to herself and her creative ideas.

  2. That is exactely my hope for Josie. Isn't there a quote from Picasso about that, something to the effect of "we are all born artists, the trick is to stay that way"? Maybe I should ask Heather, the quote queen!

  3. This is great!

My daughter still talks about her "My Little Pony" toys. Seh enjoyed her ponies for years and years. I loved them because they relied on imagination and she knew that. She always knew (both kids did/do) that I hate the battery operated crap that 'has' to be played with a specific way.
